Versatility in power management
Hawk Quest is powered by a highly efficient hybrid diesel-electric power system. Each of the five engines are used to generate electrical power, which in turn is used to drive the electric motors and also provide power for the hotel load.
Each generator can be run at maximum efficiency, with more or less generators used as needs change.
GET HOME MODE
With the ability to provide power from any one of the five engines, Hawk Quest can operate in a ‘get home’ mode even with heavily reduced power, giving the responsibility and independence to continue its voyage out of remote areas without the need for assistance.
