Step back in time to a golden age of exploration and explore Scott's Hut, frozen in a time deep into Antarctic waters for over a hundred years.
Breaking the ice
With a Polar Class 6 rating, a strengthened hull, and machinery developed to meet the requirements of polar expeditions, Sea Hawk can enter 80cm-thick first year ice and be stable with up to 100 tons of ice accretion.
REINFORCED HULL
The reinforced hull has thicker plates and narrower frame spacing at the bow and around the waterline to protect against ice interaction.
ICE-FRIENDLY HULL SHAPE
The hull is designed for safe navigation in polar waters, pushing through smaller pieces of ice or breaking through thicker ice.
OVERSIZED PROPELLERS & MACHINERY
All yacht machinery has been developed to meet the requirements of ice interaction and polar expeditions.
HIGHLY MANOEUVRABLE
Our yachts are designed with Becker rudders and strong side thrusters for efficient operation and manoeuvrability. Extendable azimuthing propellers also provide extra manoeuvrability and dynamic positioning.
